Some career journeys are carefully planned. Others evolve naturally, shaped by curiosity, commitment, a willingness to take on new challenges, and the ability to see opportunities where others might not.
Will’s journey at elderbrook is certainly one of the latter.
Will first joined elderbook as a contractor in 2017 after having previously moved to Germany. In December 2020 he decided to become a permanent member of our BCDS team as a Principal Statistical Programmer. But it didn’t take long for us to see that Will’s ambitions and abilities extended well beyond his original role.
His involvement grew, particularly after attending PHUSE EU Connect in Belfast in 2022 and he became increasingly engaged in the business side of elderbrook, team development and the bigger picture of where we could go as a company. He challenged ideas, looked for better ways of doing things and, most importantly, wasn’t afraid to dig deep and get things done
That’s when we started to realize that there was something pretty special developing here.Will continued to grow, impress and take on more responsibility, culminating in his promotion to Global Head of Statistical Programming in July 2023 and as of July 2025 he was promoted even further to Senior Director, Head of Operations.
Since then, he has gone from strength to strength – bringing innovative thinking, a strong drive to improve processes, a genuine interest in developing our teams and a clear desire to help elderbrook grow.
And now, we are delighted to announce the next step in that journey.
As of 1 October 2026, Will is stepping into the role of Vice President.
We are incredibly proud to see someone who started his elderbrook journey as a contractor continue to develop, take on new challenges and ultimately grow into a senior leadership role within our own ranks.
It’s a great reminder of what can happen when talent, curiosity, ambition and opportunity come together.
