IT Manager Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities and functions
- Operate and further develop our server and network infrastructure (on-premise & hybrid cloud)
- Administration and monitor Proxmox, Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows and Linux servers
- Administration Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Endpoint Central
- Participate in security, network, and cloud projects
- Support and optimize our firewall environments (Securepoint, OpnSense) Implement security policies and introduce best practices for network, firewall, WAF, TLS, and Vault
- Collaborate in 2nd and 3rd level support for infrastructure topics
- Create technical documentation and support process automation
- Manage backup, cleanup, and decommissioning processes, and administer internal and external certificates
- Work with development teams to optimize monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to ensure system transparency and performance
- Support the administration of databases (MS SQL, MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis)
Your qualifications and competences
- Completed education or degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, and cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of virtualization (Proxmox, Hyper-V), Windows/Linux servers, and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID)
- Experience with firewall solutions (Securepoint, OpnSense), network components (Cisco, Aruba, Unifi), and security best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools, as well as process automation
- Knowledge of database administration (MS SQL, MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis) is a plus
- Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; German language skills are beneficial
